Thembalethu police seeks assistance to trace next of kin of pedestrian who died on N2 highway in George

Thembalethu police is seeking the assistance of the public to trace the next of kin of a pedestrian who died after he was hit by a vehicle on the on the N2 highway near the turnoff to Thembalethu, George at about 15:30 on Saturday, 03 July 2021.

Investigation into this incident indicates that the man, a coloured male in his early thirties, was crossing the highway when he was hit by a Mercedes Benz which was en-route to Mossel Bay. The victim sustained multiple injuries. He was later declared dead by medical personnel on scene.

The victim was dressed in a grey tracksuits at the time of the incident.
