POLOKWANE - As part of the ongoing Safer Festive Season Operations in Limpopo, the Deputy Minister of Police, Dr Polly Boshielo, will on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, continue her high-level operational oversight with a focused visit to Bela-Bela in the Waterberg District. The visit underscores government’s commitment to ensuring heightened police visibility, strengthened law-enforcement readiness, and sustained crime-prevention efforts during the festive period, as communities prepare for a safe transition into the 2026 New Year. Accompanied by the SAPS management team, including the Limpopo Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, the Deputy Minister will assess the effectiveness of the province’s Safer Festive Season plans in place, with a particular on operational deployment, crime prevention, partnership policing, compliance inspections and community engagement. The Safer Festive Season Operations will also involve key stakeholders, including local leadership comprising the Executive Mayor, Cllr J. Maeko and Bela Bela Local Municipality Mayor, Cllr G.M.
