POLOKWANE - The Police in Polokwane under Capricorn District are investigating a murder and inquest dockets following a fatal stabbing incident in Bendor village on Tuesday, 28 April 2026 at about 08:30.

According to information received,  a neighbour allegedly heard a screaming noise followed by a commotion next door.  He immediately summoned police and emergency medical services personnel who on their arrival, found two lifeless bodies of a 37-year-old woman and that of a 34-year-old man. The two were pronounced deceased by the medical services personnel.

The woman was found on the driveway and had multiple stab wounds on the upper body while  the male was found hanging outside the house on the roof.

The weapon believed to have been used for murder was found at the scene.

The motive behind this incident is unknown at this stage. However, domestic violence-related dispute cannot be ruled out.

Police investigations are continuing.
