PARKWEG - The swift and decisive action of the Provincial Anti-Gang Unit (AGU) in Bloemfontein has led to the arrest of a foreign national and a male, as well as the seizure of a substantial quantity of drugs and cash in Bloemfontein.

Following a tip-off on a 41-year-old foreign national allegedly involved in drug-dealing activities in the CBD, AGU members immediately launched an investigation. The information led them to a specific shop within the CBD.

Upon arrival at the identified premises, AGU members approached the adult male and conducted a thorough inspection of his shop.  During the search, the team successfully uncovered a large quantity of various illegal drugs.

The estimated street value of the recovered drugs is approximately R200,000. Additionally, the members recovered a large sum in cash, suspected to be proceeds from the illegal drug trade.

In another incident, AGU members shifted their focus to Heidedal, where upon receiving intelligence-led information, a 30-year-old male was arrested after drugs such as crystal meth were found in his possession.

Both suspects a 41-year-old foreign national and the 30-year-old male, were immediately placed under arrest on charges related to dealing in drugs. They are expected to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court soon.
