Cape Town: As part of the ongoing manhunt for suspects involved in the Mall Robberies in the province, the police moved swiftly and arrested a 35 year old man this afternoon ( 28/10/2014 ) at about 15:45 at the Canal Walk Mall. The suspect was pointed out to the police by a member of the public today and it is believed that he was involved in one of the robbery incidents that occurred at the Canal Walk Mall, recently during which the stuff was held up and robbed of valuable items.

The police will continue to pursue their investigation and this will include looking at the possible link or involvement of the arrested suspect in other incidents of robberies the province has experienced in recent weeks. Once charged, the suspect is expected to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate court soon. Again we would like to call on the community to continue to share information with the police and they may do so by making contact with Captain Charl Kinnear on 0828208015.
