BCM DISTRICT COASTAL - Gonubie CPF, Sector Managers and East London K9 Unit along with Gonubie SAPS Station commander donated food parcels and sanitary towels to learners at Nkwezana Full Service School in Gonubie today.

The majority of the learners are staying on farms and the neighbouring informal settlements around the school that is situated on the farm area. They were also sensitized about the adjusted Level 3 Disaster Management Act Regulations and gender-based violence.

The school principa,l Miss Thenjiwe Tyali expressed her appreciation towards the SAPS and the CPF. She also mentioned that what the learners received is going to assist them a lot since they are coming from different environments.

A special gift was also handed over to the best learner. "She is disciplined, assisting the other learners academically and she was never absent from school and she is loyal,” the principal Thenjiwe Tyali said.

The awareness campaign was a success and the learners showed their appreciation by nominating one learner to thank the members on their behalf.
