BCM DISTRICT COASTAL - It is alleged that at approximately 20:15 on 02 August 2021, two male friends were sitting at the complainant's shack at Ebhongweni informal settlement at the spaza shop. Three male suspects arrived looking for a loan shark, two suspects had knives while one had a firearm. Whilst they were still busy the complainant arrived and he shouted outside looking for water. One suspect went out but the complainant ran away and he was shot on the lower body. The complainant escaped successfully and was found later with a bullet wound at the neighbour’s house. The three suspects turned everything upside down demanding money, then they forced the friend of the victim to show them loan the shark’s place. The victim was taken to the hospital. A case of Attempted Murder has been opened and is under investigation. No one has been arrested at the present moment.
