WESTERN CAPE - The presence of Lockdown II forces is felt by criminals in this province as proven by their interventions last night in Kraaifontein.

Emanating from an arrest made in Wallacedene yesterday morning and the interrogation of the suspect, the members reacted on information and conducted a search operation at two shacks in Nduli Street in Wallacedene. This search resulted in the arrest of a 23-year-old man for the possession of an unlicensed firearm, nine rounds of ammunition and drugs at the first shack.

At the second shack a 45-year-old man was arrested in possession of an assortment of drugs and cash believed to be the proceeds of drug trafficking. Both suspects are expected to make their court appearances tomorrow in Blue Downs
