Media Statement LIBODE - Acting District Commissioner, Brigadier Ntandane expressed shock and dismay of the brutal killing of a 59-year-old woman allegedly by her 30-year-old son. According to the information the victim was at her homestead as she is residing with her son and her two year old granddaughter. The deceased was working at Ngolo clinic as an assistant nurse and when she is at work she usually leaves the granddaughter at the neighbour’s house. On 05 September 2021 she failed to fetch the child from the neighbour. The 10-year-old neighbour's child accompanied the two year old home where the children made the discovery of the deceased woman lying in a pool of blood. A bible and a knife was found on top of her body. The woman sustained multiple stab wounds on her body. Police are searching for the son. The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently being investigated and a case of murder has been opened. Ends
