Police seek missing person

GQEBERHA - The Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit in Kariega are seeking the community’s assistance in finding a 14-year-old teenage girl who was reported missing on Friday morning, 8 October 2021 from a house in Lower Drostdy Street in Kariega.

According to police information, Rochelle Prins and her 16-year-old sister were spending the school holidays with their mother in Kariega. They were dropped off by their father on Sunday, 3 October 2021. The teenagers reside with their father in Gqeberha. On Thursday, 7 October 2021 in the evening the family retired to bed. On Friday morning, 8 October 2021, the mother discovered that Rochelle was missing. Her bag with clothes was also missing. A letter was left for her father.

It is not known what she was wearing at the time she left the house.

Anyone who can assist police in tracing Ms Prins  is asked to contact D/WO Patrick Ndoni on  072 732 4847 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or the nearest police station. All information is confidential and callers may remain anonymous.
