Media Statement Acting Amathole District Commissioner Brigadier Ngangema Xakavu has expressed shock and condemned an incident in which a woman was killed by her partner. This comes after police arrested a 32-year-old man after he fatally shot a 35-year-old woman last night at Weza Village, Willowvale. It is alleged that the deceased was with the suspect when an argument broke between the two in their homestead. The suspect went to his vehicle and took out a firearm and shot the deceased on her upper body. Police recovered the firearm that was used in the commission of murder and a charge of illegal possession of firearm and ammunition was opened. The suspect will appear in the Willowvale Magistrate’s Court, Monday, 18 October 2021.10.17. Ends
