Media Statement DURBAN – In the fight against the illegal trade of drugs, the Provincial Drug and Firearm Unit team seized a large quantity of drugs. Yesterday, the team acted on information about drugs being kept at an abandoned building on Smith Street. An operation was put in place and it led to the recovery of 267 ecstasy tablets, 38 plastic packets of cocaine powder, 83 mandrax tablets, 10 pieces of rock cocaine and other various drugs. The drugs were recovered inside the ceiling boards on the roofing of the building. The recovered drugs are valued at R543 000-00. Ends
