MPUMALANGA - As the country counts down the days before the November 1st Local Government Elections, Police Minister General Bheki Cele, will on Saturday, 30 October 2021, head to the Mpumalanga province to assess the readiness of law enforcement ahead of the Local Government Elections.

Minister Cele will be accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Police, Cassel Mathale as well as the National and Provincial management of the South African Police (SAPS). Together, they will visit the Piennaar area which has been identified as a hot-spot area in the province ahead of the November elections.

Members of the media are invited to attend the visit.
