Two suspects, aged 34 and 37 are expected to appear in the Lehurutshe Magistrates’ Court today for possession of suspected stolen live stock.

The duo, from Botswana, were arrested at the Madutle border line, Lehurutshe in the Ngala Modire Molema District on Friday, 5 November 2021.

According to information available at this stage, reports suggest that members of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) were patrolling the area when they stopped a suspicious White Isuzu Bakkie loaded with 11 sheep and 9 goats. Police were summoned to the scene.  The two suspects could not proof ownership of the stock and after information were followed up, the stock were identified, the lawful owner were traced and the two suspects were arrested.

The Provincial Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena extolled members for their collaboration and quick response that resulted in the arrest.
