DURBAN: Port Shepstone SAPS are appealing to members of the community for assistance with a wanted murder suspect. Siphiwe Richard Khawula (47) was last seen on 8 September 2021. A warrant for his arrest was issued after an 85-year-old woman was assaulted with a hammer and brutally stabbed to death at her residence at Nyavini in Msinsini on 8 September 2021.

The suspect was last seen on the same day walking towards the Pinetown area, he was last seen wearing a yellow striped T-shirt, navy pants and sandals. Anyone with information of his whereabouts is urged to contact Constable Werner Botha on 039-6991600 / 0730363498 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
