POLOKWANE - Two male suspects aged 32 and 38 were arrested at separate locations for murder cases that transpired at Burgersfort and Marble Hall Policing areas under the Sekhukhune District.

In Burgesfort Policing, Police arrested a 32-year-old male suspect for murder. It is reported that on Saturday, 26 July 2025, the suspect and the victim were with other people gambling (playing dice) at Grootboom farm. The deceased allegedly accused the suspect of stealing his money (R50.00). A heated argument ensued and the suspect left for a while and later returned armed with a knife. He suddenly stabbed the victim on the upper body, and the victim collapsed. The witnesses at the scene apprehended the suspect and called the Police to the scene and informed them about the incident.

They arrived together with Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and the male victim was certified dead at the scene. The suspect was arrested for murder.

Meanwhile, a 38-year-old male suspect was arrested for murder at one of the taverns next to taxi rank in Marble Hall town, in the early hours of Sunday, 27 July 2025.

Police attended the scene of crime, and the lifeless body of an unknown man was found lying in a pool of blood. He was also certified dead at the scene by EMS.

On both incidents, Police registered cases of murder and the suspects were successfully arrested.

The suspects will appear  before Marble Hall Periodical and Praktiseer Magistrate's Court on Monday, 28 July 2025, facing charges of murder.

The Police investigations are ongoing.
