HARRISMITH – An accident involving two trucks and a bus claimed the lives of four people while nine passengers are hospitalized. The accident occurred on the N3 between Harrismith and Van Reenen' Pass.

It's alleged that on Tuesday ,12 September 2023 at about 03:40 two trucks and a bus collided on the N3 near Montrose towards Van Reenen' Pass where three people died instantly on the scene, a truck driver and two passengers. The fourth person died later at local hospital. Other nine passengers are admitted at local hospital for medical treatment. The cause of accident is not yet known at this stage. A case of culpable homicide is being investigated.
