KING WILIAM’S TOWN –Butterworth regional magistrate court sentenced 36-year-old Sakhikhaya Mxhosunzima Mafumana to six years imprisonment. He was sentenced on Monday 12 January 2014. The accused was convicted on two cases of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm. It is alleged that he assaulted his girlfriend, aged 32, on 9 August 2014 with a stick and then stabbed her again on 12 August 2014. Both crimes took place at Mayekiso Farm outside Butterworth at the home of the victim.
