NELSPRUIT – The astute members netted a 30-year-old suspect on 29 July 2025 in Calcutta after being found in possession of game meat. During the operation, information was received regarding a person who was in possession of game meat (carcass). The Combat and Proactive team deployed under Vala Umgodi swiftly followed the information, and upon arrival at the said premises, a search was carried out. It was during this time when a game meat was recovered, hence the suspect was apprehended and charged accordingly. The man is expected to appear at the Masoyi Magistrate's Court soon.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Major General (Dr.) Zeph Mkhwanazi has commended members for the exceptional work done.
