PARYS - An inquest has been registered in Parys after the body of an unknown female was found on the N1, Parys.

It is alleged that on Monday, 14 August 2023 at about 18:35, the farmers were busy extinguishing a veld fire on the N1 when they discovered the naked body of an unknown African female about 30 years old.

The deceased has sustained injuries on her legs. She was certified dead by the Emergency services.

Police are appealing to anyone who can assist in tracing the deceased next of kin to contact Detective Warrant Officer Jaco Venter on 082 554 3041
