GAUTENG - On Thursday, 3 February 2022 members of SAPS Loate arrested a suspect and recovered an unlicensed firearm with ammunition following a business robbery at a local shopping centre in Loate.

According to a preliminary report the SAPS members were out on a routine Crime Prevention Patrol when they received a complaint of a business robbery in progress and swiftly responded.

The members arrested one suspect and recovered an unlicensed firearm with ammunition. Further investigation is still underway.
