SAPS Provincial Corporate Communication members visits Phalaborwa to strengthen media relations

NAMAKGALE - The Provincial Head of SAPS Corporate Communication and Liaison, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo accompanied by Acting Provincial Commander at Media Centre, Lt Colonel Mamphaswa Seabi visited Ba-Phalaborwa area which is zone 3 of Mopani district on 13 April 2022.

The officers arrived at Namakgale SAPS where they were warmly welcomed by the Station commander Colonel Sesinyani Bila.

The visit was aimed at strengthening working relationship between SAPS and media platforms. Some of the media houses who formed part of the meeting included, Speak out Phalaborwa, Mopani news and Northern Bulletin.

Amongst members present were the Zone 3 communication officers, Sergeant Lebogang Selepe of Namakgale, Sergeant Elvis Prince Mongwe of Phalaborwa and Sergeant Ntsako Reoh Mabunda of Lulekani SAPS.

Members engaged in a fruitful meeting and in conclusion, Brigadier Mojapelo urged all Communication Officers to have a healthy and strong working relationship with media houses.

He further outlined the expectations from his office to all communication officers together with media Houses. He further mentioned that the South African Police Service really need media houses more than they need us in order for us to achieve our obligation in the battle against crime.
