MAFUBE - A case of attempted murder is under investigation by Mafube SAPS following the arrest of a 25-year-old man for inflicting severe injuries on his stepfather. This incident occurred in Phomolong Section, Frankfort on Tuesday, 17 May 2022 at about 07:00.

It is alleged by the 42-year-old victim that he was stabbed multiple times during a domestic dispute with his stepson.

Neighbors were called by the wife and they managed to separate the two. He was rushed to the local hospital and was later discharged from hospital. He then pressed charges against his stepson.

The suspect was arrested and charged for attempted murder. He already appeared in the Frankfort Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, 18 May 2022. The case was postponed to Tuesday, 24 May 2022 for further investigation. The suspect, Mpho Khoase remains in custody.
