GQEBERHA - SAPS Despatch detectives opened a culpable homicide case after two persons died in a head on collision on the evening of Friday 25 April 2025 evening on the R75.

It is alleged that at approximately 23:20, two vehicles a grey Hyundai and a silver Suzuki collided head on with each other on the R75 intersection near Bayland. The driver of the Hyundai is 62 years old, and the driver of the Suzuki is 52 years old. Both drivers passed away on the scene. 

The names will be released once they have been formally identified and the next of kin have been informed.

The investigation is ongoing.
