Police hunt attempted murder suspects

SAPS Walmer detectives are on the hunt for suspects allegedly involved in a shooting incident at a car dealership in William Moffett this afternoon, 6/07.

According to police information, a white Toyota Corolla drove to the service reception area and a male alighted from the car and walked towards the victim, an employee and started shooting at him. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The suspect got back into the vehicle and drove off. It is further alleged that there were about three people in the vehicle (including the shooter).  Police believe that the victim was the intended target.

The suspects’ vehicle was later found burnt out on the side of Buffelsfontein Road in Walmer.

At this stage the motive for the shooting is yet to be established.

A case of attempted murder is under investigation.

Police are appealing to anyone who can assist in tracing the suspects to contact D/Sgt Thabiso Nontshinga on 082 065 9179 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or the nearest police station. All information is confidential and callers may remain anonymous.
