WESTERN CAPE - Efforts to stop the distribution of drugs in our communities led to the arrest of an adult male last night in Riverview, Worcester. Members of the Anti-Gang Unit executed a search warrant at the identified premises and during the search of the premises the members found 447 mandrax tablets hidden under the bath.

Once charged the suspect will make a court appearance in the Worcester Magistrates court.

In an unrelated matter members of the Anti-Gang Unit searched a premises in Serruria Close, Uitsig, Ravensmead and confiscated a 9mm pistol, 24 magazines, and a variety of ammunition.  A 42-year-old male was arrested and detained on charges of possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

Once charged the suspects will appear in the Goodwood Magistrates court on the mentioned charges.
