UPINGTON - The SAPS members in the ZF Mgcawu District were gathered on 30 July 2025 to celebrate the long journey of Colonel Koot Visser reaching the finish line in the South Africa Police Service.

Colonel Visser is going on retirement after 39 years of service. He served in different fields, with most of his career path in the detective environment. He is an experienced, dedicated, and loyal member, leaving a legacy as he wrapped up his career.

The colleagues and Commanders shared their experiences working with Colonel Visser, including Mr Armando Damarah, on behalf of the National Prosecuting Authority and the CPF Chairperson of ZF Mgcawu District, Mr Clement Baai.

The District Commissioner, Major General Monica Sebili, expressed her gratitude to Colonel Visser and his family for the tireless years he invested in the service, the family time he sacrificed and on behalf of the community, the service and commitment toward their safety, security and for ensuring that justice is served where it is due.

The event was graced with the presence of the Deputy Provincial Commissioner for Crime Detection, Major General Luntu Ngubelanga, on behalf of the Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Koliswa Otola and the SAPS management. He honored and acknowledged the valuable contribution and impact  Col Visser added to the Organization over the years. He wished Colonel Visser well and his family in the next chapter of his life.
