On Wednesday, 15th April 2015,  28 year old Kimberley man was found guilty in the Kimberley Regional court on charges of theft and illegal possession of firearms. 

On 27 March 2014 at approximately 18:30 the Kimberley K9 Unit received information of the theft and whilst on patrols the accused was spotted at the Market Square Taxi Rank in Kimberley. On searching the accused, police found the two stolen hunting rifles in his possession. The firearms were stolen from a business premises in Kimberley. The accused was arrested by Sgt Donovan Bitterbosch and Sgt Benjamin Appies. .

Sentencing of Andrew Dumpies has been postponed for a later date. END
