Media Statement On the 08 August 2022, Welkom POP members received information from about a house in Moltino Street in Reitzpark. A request was made to search the house and voluntarily the female gave members a plastic bag of Mandrax tablets and cash inside. Upon further searching, members mandrax, Cat and nyaupe on top of the wardrobe with combined street value of an estimated R40 000. The suspect who is 36-year-old will appear on the 10 August 2022 in Welkom Magistrate Court for dealing in drugs. The Provincial Commissioner of the Free State, Lt Gen BB Motswenyane lauded residents of Welkom for being a reporting nation and members of Welkom SAPS for responding swiftly to ensure this alleged drug dealer was brought to book to face the might of the law.
