Western Cape-On Sunday (2015-03-01 ) at about 00:50  members attached to Grassy Park SAPS were doing Crime Prevention duties when they notice a group of men fighting in the street. Members intervened and this led them to search the two men involved and an unknown firearm with a silver handle, five R5 rounds and three silver 357 magnum rounds were found in the possession of one of them. A 23 year old suspect was arrested for the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.

In another incident on Sunday 2015-03-01 at about 07:00 Grassy Park SAPS members busy with patrols in Ottery area where currently gang violence is taking place, members received information of drugs being sold at Hoogenoeg court, Ottery. This information led to the arrest of a 25 year old suspect for possession of drugs. On the same day at about 07:30 members arrested a 40 year old male in the Ottery area with five packets of tik. Both suspects were charged for dealing and alternatively possession of drugs. All three suspect appeared at Wynberg Magistrate’s Court today(Monday 2015-03-02).
