Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks)

GAUTENG - The Hawks' Gauteng together with the Department of Home Affairs and other stakeholders are conducting an operation on the illegal mining king pins’ residences in Carletonville and Khutsong, since the early hours of this morning 6 suspects have been arrested.  The multi-disciplinary team is also seizing their luxury vehicles and investigations are still on going.

Please note that the briefing will take place at 11:00 today at the Lebanon Recreational Centre in Westonaria.
