BOHLOKONG - A 38-year-old man from Bohlokong near Bethlehem has been arrested by the Thabo Mofutsanyana District Executive Team in connection with the 2023 murder of the late Ntombifuthi Portia Zamisa from Naledi Section, Bohlokong.

According to reports, on 5 February 2023 at about 06:00, the deceased was allegedly involved in a housebreaking and theft incident in the same area. She was later caught and allegedly assaulted by community members using pipes and sjamboks. She was admitted to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Police said she sustained an open wound to the back of her head and scratches to her face. A murder case was opened and investigated.

The suspect was arrested on Tuesday, 28 April 2026, and charged with murder. He is expected to appear in the Bethlehem Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 30 April 2026.
