BOHLOKONG - The Welkom Public Order Police Unit have arrested three suspects with drugs and cash.

On Thursday, 27 October 2022 Welkom Public Order Police Unit Platoon were in Bohlokong for Crime Combating duties. Whilst patrolling around the township, they visited a well-known drug dealer. Upon arrival the suspect was coming out of the room caring a plastic bag, when he saw police he ran back to the room and went straight to the toilet, and threw the transparent plastic bag of Crystal Meth and dissolved the drugs in water. The police searched him and found other drugs and cash on his body. They seized 15 Crystal Meth Satchets and cash.

Meanwhile, the police went to a house at Captain Charles wherein the 33-year-old was arrested for possession of drugs in Bohlokong, 22 Crystal Meth satchets were found in his possession.

The third house police arrested a 40-year-old suspect for dealing in drugs in Bohlokong. It was six Crystal Meth Satchets and cash amount found in his house. 

All three suspects are expected to appear before the Bethlehem Magistrate court on Friday, 28 October 2022 facing charges of dealing and possession of drugs.
