FREE STATE - On Friday 22 March 2024 at about 19:30, two friends were allegedly watching television in Phomolong Squarter camp in a shack, when four unknown males entered with one carrying a firearm.

The two were pointed with a firearm and their hands were tied with shoe laces.  Suspects took cellphones, a plasma screen, sneakers, a solar battery pack and a key to the Ford Ranger bakkie.  The victims were forced to the back of the bakkie whereby the bakkie was driven until in Phase seven at a secluded area.  The victims were taken off the bakkie while two others drove away in the vehicle and others held them hostage.

The victims managed to escape and run to Bloemspruit police station after the suspects told them that they are going to get wood to make fire.  No arrests made as yet and the vehicle Ford Ranger single cab with registration number KY 28 VF GP is still missing.

Anyone with information is requested to contact Captain Kgoboko of Bloemspruit Detectives on 082 467 6348 or call police crimeline on 08600 10111 or drop an anonymous tip off on My Saps App.
