FREE STATE - A couple, aged 25 and 20, was arrested by Sasolburg detectives for selling schedule 5 substances without a license and selling schedule 5 substances other than at a chemist.

The Sasolburg detectives received information about the couple selling Painagon cough syrup and Mylan Alprazolam 1.0mg tablets at a specific house in Sasolburg. Upon searching the house, the members discovered 58 full bottles of Painagon cough syrup and 22 Mylan Alprazolam 1.0mg full containers of tablets.

The couple was arrested, and the substances were confiscated. They will appear before the Sasolburg Magistrate's Court on Thursday, 14 August 2025 on charges of selling schedule 5 substances without a license and selling schedule 5 substances other than at a chemist.
