POLOKWANE - Police Detectives at the Polokwane Stock Theft and Endangered Species (STES) Unit are appealing to members of the community to assist in locating the lawful owners of seven cattle that were found at an auction in Mokopane on Friday, 28 November 2025.

Police conducted a preliminary investigation after seven cattle, suspected to have been stolen, were found at an auction. The livestock was impounded for further police investigation.

The cattle have been placed at the Mokopane SPCA, where they will remain impounded for 14 days — from 28 November 2025 until 12 December 2025, to allow community members an opportunity to view the livestock and help identify their rightful owners.

Anyone who may have lost cattle in the area or who has information that could assist in the investigation is urged to contact the investigating officer, Constable Thabang Phakula of the Polokwane STES Unit, on 076 481 4351, the Crime Stop number 08600 10111, visit the nearest police station, or use the MySAPS App.

Police investigations are continuing.
