GQEBERHA - Detectives at SAPS Bethelsdorp are seeking the communities’ assistance in tracing the suspect/s involved in a fatal shooting resulting in the deaths of two people in Polar Park in Booysens Park.

It is alleged that on Thursday morning, 7 July 2022 08:00, a concerned resident noticed the front door of his neighbour’s house in Kenty Street, wide open and became suspicious. He then summoned the ex-girlfriend of the deceased person and together with a community leader, they entered the house. The body of Zola Ndayi (48) was found lying on the floor.

Immediately, they went to SAPS Chatty and reported the incident. When police arrived, they found the body of Apiwe Mdunjeni (17) lying on the bed. Both deceased sustained multiple gunshot wounds. They were related to each other and lived in the same house.

Police are investigating two cases of murder. The motive and suspect/s are unknown at this stage.
