Potchefstroom - The provincial police divers, joined with Jericho Police in the Brits police cluster, are looking for a Zimbabwean man who possibly drowned in a local dam.

Gibson Mkhondo, 44, was reported missing on Saturday, 27 June 2015, by his friends.  It is alleged that the victim went on an illegal fishing mission with his two friends at Klipvoor Borakalalo Game Reserve at around 23:00 on Friday, 26 June 2015.

The three went into the dam to lay their fishing nets, and  Mkhondo did not return. It is suspected that he may have drowned. Police divers have been searching for him from Sunday with no success. The search continues.

Mkhondo's two friends were charged for trespassing and the case was withdrawn by court.
