Media Statement GQEBERHA - While police and other law enforcement officers were out in their numbers performing proactive crime prevention duties in hotspot areas in central, they succeeded in confiscating drugs in Clyde Street. It is alleged that on Sunday afternoon, 19 March 2023, K9 members and metro police were monitoring possible disruptive incidents when they found 964 mandrax tablets concealed in a plastic bag at the entrance of a residential flat. The estimated value of the drugs is R60 000-00. They also confiscated 6 packets of tik as well as 10 abandoned tik pipes. No arrests effected. Ends
