Ventersburg - Welkom K9 Unit members were busy with crime combatting operations in Ventersburg when a bus with foreign number plates was spotted at a truck stop on Monday, 20 March 2023.

The passengers' travelling documents were checked. 15 occupants did not have passports and were arrested for Contravention of the Immigration Act. Another suspect was arrested for obstructing the cause of justice and Crimen Injuria.

The 16 suspects will appear in the Ventersburg Magistrate Court on 22 March 2023.
