It is alleged on 16 August 2014 at approximately 03:00; a 12-year-old victim was sleeping at Dunbar Road, Cato Manor, when she was approached by the unknown suspect. It is alleged that the suspect raped her at gunpoint. The suspect fled the scene after the incident. A case of rape was opened at Cato Manor Police Station for further investigation.

The Brighton Beach Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit are looking for a man in the identikit below believed to be in his thirties. We believe that he may be of assistance in the case of rape that is alleged to have occurred. He is slender built, short in height and dark in complexion.

Police are making an appeal to anyone that can assist with any information regarding the whereabouts of the person in the identikit or his identity to urgently contact the investigating officer Detective Constable Zanele Zuma on 031 203 7334 or 084 906 0644. Members of the public may also contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
