CRADOCK:   An intelligence driven operation with assistance from Cradock K9 and Highway Patrol members has yielded positive results today.

On Sunday, 2 April 2023, members from Crime Intelligence Unit intercepted information of illicit drugs in transit, which was quickly relayed to Cradock K9 and Highway Patrol teams.

Members spotted a man fitting a description of the suspect busy hitchhiking on the N10 near Cradock.

A suspicious man was accosted and a request for a routine search was done. It is alleged that the illicit drugs were found stashed/dipped in several yoghurt containers and concealed with foil. Drugs valued around R12 400 were seized and cash was also found in his possession.  A 40-year-old suspect was arrested and will appear before Cradock Magistrates’ Court on Monday 03 April 2023 on charges of dealing in drugs.
