GQEBERHA - SAPS Kwazakele detectives is seeking the community’s assistance in tracing a 52-year-old man who went missing on Friday, 10 November 2023.

It is alleged that Mr Onke Sali arrived in Gqeberha with his wife from Indwe (Lady Frere) with his white Nissan Livina (JHK751EC). They were supposed to attend a funeral the following day, 11 November 2023. Mr Sali and other family members went to a local tavern on Friday night and during the early hours of Saturday morning (00:30) they returned to the family home in Koyana Street in Zwide. When the family saw him opening the gate, they proceeded indoors. He never entered the home and has been missing ever since. His vehicle is also missing.

He was last seen wearing a navy track top, blue trouser, sandals and a green hat. His cellphone has been switched off. Police have established that money had been withdrawn from his bank account several times. Mr Sali is not familiar with the area.

Anyone who can assist police in tracing Mr Sali or may know of his whereabouts, is asked to contact SAPS Kwazakele, D/Capt Jerome Mackay on 071 475 2015 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or the nearest police station. Alternatively, the My SAPS App can be used to submit a tip-off. All information is confidential and callers may remain anonymous.
