GQEBERHA – Relentless efforts by SAPS Humewood detectives to trace the suspect(s) involved in the fatal shooting of Carol Ann Magielies paid off when a suspect was arrested on Monday, 04 April 2023.                .

After the discovery of the deceased ex-boyfriend’s body in Marine Drive, Summerstrand on Monday 03 April 2023, D/Sgt Ridwaan Baatjies received information of a Ford Icon as well as the driver allegedly involved in her murder on Sunday evening, 02 April 2023.

At approximately 14:00 on Monday, an address in Haigh Avenue in Kensington was visited and a 35-year-old male was arrested and the vehicle confiscated.

The suspect is detained on a charge of murder and will appear in the Gqeberha Magistrates’ Court on today, 05 April 2023.
