Two arrested of cultivating dagga in Bloemfontein

BLOEMFONTEIN - On Saturday, 08 April 2023 at about 07:00, Parkweg K9 received an Intelligence driven information of a possible cultivation of dagga at a house in the Universitas Area-Bloemfontein.

Upon arrival two 27-year-old suspects were found and K9 members, with the help of the sniffer dog, discovered dagga plants in the garden at the back of the house, others in pot plants and in the kitchen where it was being processed from.

Loose dagga worth an estimated R280 000 was confiscated after it was found in the kitchen on the kitchen counter and in the cupboards in plastic bags and some in containers.

Items used in processing plants and products used for packaging the dagga were confiscated.  The suspect will appear in court soon for dealing in dagga, cultivation of dagga and contravening the immigration act.
