Dead body found in Injaka forestry

NELSPRUIT - Police have made a shocking discovery of the body of an unknown man with bruises all over the body yesterday morning Monday 17 April 2023 at Injaka forestry in Bushbuckridge.

According to information, the community member who went out to fetch firewood stumbled in front of a lifeless body at about 07:00.

Police and medical practitioners were summoned to the scene where the victim who is estimated to be in his mid-30s was certified dead.

Police calls on anyone whose relative or friend who went missing whilst wearing a khaki jacket, blue overalls pair of trousers and all-star sneakers to contact Bushbuckridge's Lieutenant Colonel Busisiwe Kunene on 082 422 8198.

The Provincial Commissioner of Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela condemned the incident as currently police cannot rule out that this might be as a result of mob justice. "People must stop taking the law into their own hands and report any dissatisfaction or criminal activities to the police" appealed the General.
