POLOKWANE - The Police in Polokwane have arrested two male suspects on Monday, 08 May 2023, for dealing in drugs at Bendor Surburb in Polokwane in the Capricorn District.

It is reported that members of the Provincial Crime Intelligence Narcotics team together with the Provincial Organised Crime Unit received intelligence information about two suspects allegedly dealing in drugs in this area. A joint intelligence driven operation was conducted which led to the arrest of two male suspects in possession of Nyaope drugs with an estimated street value of R56 000.00.

The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the Police in Limpopo, Major General Jan Scheepers applauded the team for the arrest of the suspects and he further urged the community to continue to support the police in the fight against crime by reporting all forms criminality.

The two suspects, aged 34 and 41, will appear before the Polokwane Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, 09 May 2023, facing charges of possession and dealing in drugs.

Police investigation still ongoing.
