POLOKWANE - The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba is leading the activities of celebrating the 2020 Women's month and the ongoing tireless efforts that women in blue are putting in the fight against crime across the Province. Various projects are annually established through Women's Network Programs such as the eradication of crime, poverty alleviation, social responsibility, youth and community development. On Friday, 28 August 2020, the Saps Limpopo Women's Network comprised of female Police Officers and personnel from various components led by the Employee Health Wellness (EHW), conducted the round table discussion at the Provincial Commissioner's boardroom in Polokwane. The session was chaired by the Saps Acting Provincial Head of Legal Services, Brigadier Rosina Mahloromela focusing on various aspects such as the Gender Based Violence (GBV), Women Empowerment, Health and Financial matters. In addition, Brigadier Mahloromela pleaded with women to respect men irrespective of their status quo and protection of children at all costs. Marriage, equity, divorce, discipline and depression were also intensively discussed. The Acting Provincial Head of Supply Chain Management, Colonel Matseba cautioned women about the conjugal rights that men have to their marriages. She advocated women empowerment, spiritual and positive attitude to life. As the round table unfolded, the Saps Provincial Head of EHW, Colonel Sharlote Mabusela rendered the key note adress which complimented women as multi tasks and they were also encouraged to stop complaining about their partners, fatique, social, mental, financial, physical and professional challenges they encounter on daily basis.
