Media Statement from Northern Cape Media Centre 47 year old Sarel Adams Pannas of Kakamas in the ZF Mcgawu Cluster, was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment in connection with the case of murder. It was on 1 February 2015 at Happy Valley Langverwag when the accused stabbed a 49 years old woman with a broken bottle on her stomach. The stabbing was reportedly triggered by a heated argument between the duo. The victim was admitted in the local Hospital and later died as a result of the injuries sustained. The Station Commander of Kakamas, Col De Bruin applauded D/Warrant Officer Frikkie van Wyk for the job well done.
