47 year old Sarel Adams Pannas of Kakamas in the ZF Mcgawu Cluster, was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment in connection with the case of murder.

It was on 1 February 2015 at Happy Valley Langverwag when the accused stabbed a 49 years old woman with a broken bottle on her stomach. The stabbing was reportedly triggered by a heated argument between the duo.

The victim was admitted in the local Hospital and later died as a result of the injuries sustained. The Station Commander of Kakamas, Col De Bruin applauded D/Warrant Officer Frikkie van Wyk for the job well done. He pointed out that the sentence will serve as a warning to would be murderers and other criminals.
