POLOKWANE - Members of Politsi K9 Unit, arrested a 31-year-old male suspect for possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle at Madibeng village under Bolobedu policing area on Tuesday, 10 October 2023.

It is reported that members of Politsi K9 while conducting a Crime Prevention patrol at Madibeng village, they spotted a suspicious motor vehicle, a VW Polo TSI, silver in colour, which they stopped for a routine search.

Through circulation, the Police' noticed that it had been hijacked at Letsitele in June 2023.

The possibility that the suspected motor vehicle might have been involved in cases of hijackings, robberies, and other crimes will be investigated.

The suspect was arrested and detained at Haenertsburg SAPS, and the motor vehicle was seized and booked in at the SAPS for further investigation.

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi, has lauded the Police' for working tirelessly, aiming to eliminate criminal activities around the Province.

The suspect is expected to appear before Nkowankowa Magistrate's court soon on charges of possession of a suspected motor vehicle.

Police investigations are still continuing.
